Hi there foodies!
We recently had the privilege of taking part of a cookie exchange from The Pintertest Kitchen which you can find here.
The premise of the cookie exchange is that all participants were to receive three sets of 12 cookies from three food bloggers and for the recipient of the three sets of cookies to send out cookies to a completely different set of three bloggers. Since this was my first time taking part in something like this I decided to go overboard and to make three different kinds of cookies and to send those to each of the bloggers on my list. So each blogger I sent to received four chocolate, chocolate chip, orange cookies, four caramel apple oatmeal cookies and four biscotti made with white chocolate, cherries and pistachios.
The favorite of all of the cookies I have posted seems to be the chocolate, chocolate chip orange cookies which you can find here.
I was fortunate enough to receive cookies from Rachel from rachelpounds.com and this was a very exciting delivery indeed...it was my first set of cookies! She had an unexpected combination of ginger and chocolate chip cookies! I had never experienced such a cookie before but you can find her delicious recipe here. Also be sure to check out the GORGEOUS photos that Rachel takes! They really are amazing.
Next we received a set of chocolate and espresso short bread cookies from Faye at livebakelove.blogspot.com! They smelled divine and looked so beautiful. Frankly these cookies looked like something out of a professional bakery and Jeremy took one bite and decided he had enough energy to go on a long run.
Finally we received this incredible set of cookies from Chef Sarah Elizabeth and it was like opening a beautiful Christmas present in a lovely tin and it was this incredible s'mores cookie cup, where the bottom was made out gram cracker crust and topped with a really soft marshmallows! She even gave instructions on how we could heat them up. We don't have a torch (hubby should get us one) but the microwave worked incredibly well and she even topped off her gift of cookies with a beautiful Christmas ornament! You can find her amazing cookies here.
This was such an exciting experience to take advantage of and if any of these cookies peaked your interest, please go visit each of these lovely food bloggers sites and see what other delights they may have that will inspire you in your kitchen. Until next time foodies, we wish you amazing eats!
