Potato Yummies


As many as you like
You will need to slice these very thin, about an 8th of an inch. We have used various kinds of potatoes and have always had a great result
Olive Oil
Use enough to lightly cover the potatoes
Salt and Pepper
to taste
Garlic Salt
to taste
Red Pepper Flakes
to taste
be careful with this step, or your mouth will feel like it is on fire

Preparation mode:

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 400F until you can pierce easily with a fork (tends to be between 10 and 15 minutes). If they get crispy, it will just be more like a highly flavored potato chip.

The story behind these is a bit hazy. My wife wanted some kind of potatoes with a burger but wanted to do something different. This recipe is what I came up with and it has been a crowd pleaser ever sense. Feel free to play with your favorite seasonings to get the flavor profile that meets your personal tastes. Please let me know if you have other ideas of how I can play with this a little. Maybe some rosemary?

To make this recipe easy to clean up after, place this on a baking sheet that is lined with tinfoil.
