Easy “Grilled” Chicken
Ok foodies this recipe cannot be any easier. This recipe will start off in your oven and end up on the grill. First you will take chicken pieces (we like whole legs for this) and place in a shallow cooking dish or cookie sheet (line with foil for easy clean up).
Use your favorite seasoning (I use chipotle powder and poultry seasoning from Penzy’s Spices). Again, nothing fancy.
Place in the oven at 250 degrees (Fahrenheit) until chicken is done and skin is crispy. This could take a few hours and it allows you to make side dishes while it cooks. Believe me it’s worth it.
Heat your grill to it’s hottest setting. Rub oil (we use olive oil but just about any high heat oil will work) on the grill grates. What I do is place a small paper towel in a bowl and use tongs to rub the oil on the grate to minimize sticking.
Place the chicken on the grill with your favorite BBQ sauce until you have grill marks and the chicken is ready to serve. The chicken comes out really tender and juicy like you have been slaving in the kitchen for hours. Try it out!
