- apples Medium or Large (granny smith)6Make sure the apples are cored, cut and and sliced length ways
- Sugar3/4 cup
- All-purpose Flour2 TBS
- Ground Cinnamon3/4 TSP
- Salt1/4 TSP
- Nutmeg1/8 TSP
- Lemmon Juice1 TBS
- Pie Curst2You can make your own pie crust or buy it. I perfer Pillsbury Pie Crust. They come 2 in a box
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Place one pie crust in the bottom of a pie dish. Deep dish pie plate recommended
In a large mixing bowl, mix ingredients gently using a rubber spatula. Place in pie dish.
Cover pie dish with second pie crust. Press together the sides and cut off extra crust. Make 4 slits on the top of the pie. Add cinnamon and sugar to the top of the pie.
Place in oven and cook for 40-45 min.
Let cool for 1 hour before serving. If you like hot apple pie, let cool for 30 min and serve with Vanilla Ice Cream
