Chocolate, Orange, Chocolate Chip Cookies

Stick of Butter
Softened (Not melted)
1.5 Cups
Try to get the good stuff if you can afford it. I like to use the non bleached sugar.
1 Teaspoons
Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoons
Orange Extract
1 Teaspoons
Orange Zest of one orange
Do NOT skip this step
All Purpose Flour
2 Cups
Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
2/3 Cups
Baking Soda
3/4 Teaspoons
1/4 Teaspoons
Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Cups

Preparation mode:

Cream together the butter and sugar, after mixed well then add the eggs, one at a time.  Then add the bourbon, vanilla extract, orange extract and orange zest.  Take the flour, and cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and sift together, then slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet.  After all of these ingredients are fully mixed, then add the two cups of chocolate chips and ensure all ingredients are fully integrated.  Use a spoon or a cookie scooper and drop the mixture onto a non stick cookie sheet.  Place the cookies far enough apart so that they don’t connect when cooking.

Place cookies into a preheated oven set to 350° for 9 minutes.

Cool then eat when still warm.  The nice thing about this recipe is that it still tastes great the next day!

Enjoy and please leave your comments below.  Also the commercial that inspired me to come up with this cookie is below.

When the husband and I were living in Europe, we enjoyed watching British television because we understood the language.  One commercial that just caught our attention was this chocolate orange thing called "Jaffa Cakes" and in the commercial was a teacher who ate the chocolates demonstrating the different phases of the moon.  This commercial was the inspiration for this cookie.  Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying I developed the first ever chocolate and orange flavored cookie, heck no, just saying that this was my inspiration for wanting to figure out how to make this cake.  It turned out wonderful.
